Live With Victory in Christ

Posted on

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.

Ephesians 6:10

If we realize the strength and power the Lord gives us, and if we follow his will to the best of our ability, then we are assured of victory in Christ.  Obeying the Lord’s will gives victory independent of the outcome.  The prophets in the Old Testament fulfilled God’s plan, but the Jews refused to listen to the truth of God and some of the prophets were killed; but the prophets lived in victory because the obeyed God to their death.

But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. (1Corinthians 15:57) The greatest victory we have is eternal life through Christ, because he bridged the gap between us and the Father.  Knowing Heaven is our home gives us the courage and the desire to obey the Lord in whatever he calls us to do, because we know the ultimate victory is our future in Heaven.

As it is written: “For your sake we face death all day long we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.” No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. (Romans 8:36-37) As the world turns more against Christians, we are more than conquerors through Christ. We live for eternity which allows us to reflect Jesus to the world in all situations. In some places in the world its not safe to tell others that we are a Christian, for we may be killed or imprisoned, but we always show kindness and respect.

Whatever the situation we are experiencing, Christ will guide us through the Spirit.  But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. (John 16:13) Christ guides us through the Spirit, which is our connection to Christ. With Christ guiding us, we will experience victory.

Victory can be telling someone about Christ, bringing an encouraging word, helping someone, or overcoming sinful temptations. In everything we depend on Christ guiding us and being with us, then we will experience victory. Whenever we do our best in obeying the Lord, that’s victory.

Today seek to follow the Spirit and ask the Lord to be with you in all you do. Live today with the divine wisdom and power of Christ.

Prayer:  Lord guide me in the Spirit and help me to follow the Spirit; and be victorious in Christ. In Jesus name, Amen
