Live with the Power from God
Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us.
Ephesians 3:20
The Lord has gifted us with the power to overcome all of Satan’s temptations and the power to be a light for Christ in this world; and He has given us the power to overcome the world. Also, He has given us the power to overcome our own sinful nature.
You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. (1 John 4:4) The power of God lives in us through the Holy Spirit, and God’s power if far above the power of Satan. We are guaranteed victory over sin if we learn to fight this spiritual war with the power of God.
Submit yourselves to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. (James 4:7)As soon a Satan attacks us in our thoughts and our emotions, we have trained ourselves to submit to God; and with the power of God, we tell Satan to flee. Satan knows how to activate our sinful desires, and we fight the same way; we submit our self to God. It is critically important at the first instant Satan attacks, we fight back with power of God, otherwise Satan will use our emotions to support his attack.
No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it. (1 Corinthians 10:13) This is very important verse to know when we fight Satan, and we fight with the power of God for victory. God promises us that we will never be tempted beyond what we can bear, and He will provide an escape. We must immediately call on the Lord for his infinite power, because in any fight we don’t just wait until Satan knocks us out: No! will immediately attack with the power of God.
We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. (2 Corinthians 10:5) Like in any fight we respond immediately, because if we wait, we have lost. It’s same in the spiritual war, fight back immediately with the power of God. Satan fights wisely because he knows our weaknesses, our own sinful desires; and he has us fighting our own sinful nature which usually ends in defeat. We call for God powers to kill our desirable sinful thought, because it is easier to fight Satan than to fight our own sinful desire.
Today know we have the power of God to be victorious over Satan. And we have the power of God to be light for Christ in this world.
Prayer: Lord, enable me to fight this spiritual war with your power, and to live in your power every day. In Jesus name, Amen
