Live in the Kingdom

Posted on

The kingdom of God does not come with observation; nor will they say, ‘See here!’ or ‘See there!’ For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you.

Luke 17:20-21

Living in the Kingdom is God’s plan for us, because it keeps is close to the Lord. Living in the Kingdom is based on our thoughts, both conscious and subconscious. Living in the Kingdom we need to pray for the Lord’s power to have our thoughts controlled by the Spirit, because living in the Kingdom in living in the Spirit.

The kingdom of God is in the heavenly dimension where we commune with Christ, and we depend on Christ being with us in everything we do. Through the Spirit we have the power to control the sinful nature of our flesh, which means the Lord’s will is more powerful than our own will.

It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. (Galatians 5:1) When we live in the Kingdom we are controlled by the Spirit, and free of being controlled by the sinful nature of the world. Our flesh lives in this world, but our soul lives in the Kingdom.  Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving. (Colossians 3:23-24) We live serving the Lord in whatever we do, and we do everything with all our heart.

Living in the kingdom may sound impossible, but over time as we worship in fellowship, minister to others, pray, and read the Word; living in the kingdom will become natural. because we will depend on the Lord being with us in everything we do.  You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. (Jeremiah 29:13) Seeking the Lord with all our heart means serving the Lord is our number one priority. God created us to be close to Christ through the Spirit, therefore living in the Kingdom will become natural and desirable to us.

Our eternal soul, which is our thoughts, personality, and our will; can live in the Kingdom with Christ, where there is continuous love, peace, and joy.  It is impossible to be close to Christ and not experience his divine blessings. Only Christ can continually satisfy our soul, while things of the world can never fully satisfy our soul, because everything in the world is temporary. The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace. (Romans 8:6)

Today think on things above and live in the Kingdom. When doing earthly things know you are still connected to Christ, because Christ is with you. Keep seeking to be close to the Lord through prayer, reading the Word, fellowship with Christians, and never forget your divine purpose of pointing souls to Christ.

Prayer: Lord, help me to live in the kingdom, by staying connected to you through my thoughts and by knowing my divine purpose. Lead me by the Spirit to fulfill my divine purpose today in a manner that is pleasing in your sight. In Jesus name, Amen.
