Live by Faith
For we live by faith, not by sight.
2 Corinthians 5:7
When we live by faith it shows we know the Lord and trust his will over our will. We are willing to put our lives in his hands and let him guide us through the Spirit to our heavenly home. The longer we surrender our lives to Christ, the stronger our faith becomes because we develop a closer relationship with Him.
Because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. (James 1:3) Faith teaches us to wait on the Lord, because it takes time to make lasting change is us. Therefore, faith will train us to be patience as we go through our days, and patience is a great blessing. Satan wants us to rush through life and remain busy, because it can distract us from the Lord. Did you ever read about Jesus rushing through his days? Faith and patience, is needed to persevere through life in this sinful world.
And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. (1 Corinthians 13:13) These three are spiritual growth; we start with little faith, then as we walk in faith, we begin to create a closer relationship with the Lord, and our love and faith increases. The closer we are to the Lord, the more our faith increases, and our hope increases in everything the Lord leads us to do. Our faith must be pleasing to God because without faith we cannot please God. And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. (Hebrews 11:6)
There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love. (1 John 4:18) The more love we have in our hearts, the less fear we have from Satan, and with strong faith that comes from love, we will have strong courage to be a light on a hill. Love motivates us to go into the world and tell people about Christ, and faith in Christ gives us the courage.
Today walk by faith in Christ and know he is with you, and will protect your soul. Ask for guidance in every situation and know he there for you.
Prayer: Lord, help me to walk in faith with a heart of love, so I can reflect Jesus to everyone in everything I do. In Jesus name, Amen
