Live a Christ-Centered Life

Posted on

I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

Galatians 2:20

The most fulfilling and rewarding life only comes when our life is centered on Christ. Being spiritually close to Christ is far better than anything the world can offer. The problem is that Satan has deceived people to believe a truly satisfying life is when they live for their fleshly desires.  The truth is our flesh is a suit covering the spiritual person inside. Our spirit is our personality, thoughts, and will. We will never be fully content until God satisfies the spiritual person.

Satisfying the flesh is temporary and doesn’t compare to satisfying the spiritual us. The blessings from God are continuous through the indwelling Holy Spirit.  The closer we are spiritually to the Lord, the more powerful these blessings become. Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. (Romans 8:5)

The fulfilling life comes from living each day, seeking to be a light for Christ in this world. You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. (Matthew 5:14) Satan deceives people to believe the ways of God are not fulfilling, and people believe this lie because they don’t know the ways of God and his blessings. We reveal our fulfilling life to deceived souls because if we don’t reflect peace and joy to people, and they know we are Christians, then why would they want to be a Christian?

Live a Christ centered life by knowing the Word of God, and by following the Spirit as a servant of Christ.  Know the Word of God never changes because God never changes. The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God endures forever. (Isaiah 40:8) The only change is people because they are deceived by Satan.

Today, live as a servant of Christ, reflecting the mind and heart of Jesus. Be a light on a hill that takes away the lies that people believe by telling them God’s truth.

Prayer:  Lord, guide me in the Spirit to serve you today and every day. Fill my heart with your love so I can reflect it to others. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
