Light for Christ
But if we are living in the light, as God is in the light, then we have fellowship with each other, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, cleanses us from all sin.
1 John 1:7
If we live in the Light, we will always be getting closer to the Light at the end of the narrow road. God is pure Light with no darkness, and we can remain in the light if we always have a mental picture of the Light of God at the end of the narrow road.
Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. (James 4:14) The closer we are too the Light of God, the closer we are to our eternal home. Christ is the one who guides us down the narrow road to our Heavenly home.
We have a divine purpose while living on this planet, to be Light for Christ in this world. You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. (Matthew 5:14) We are the Light for Christ, and Christ guides us to take away the darkness in people, that comes from Satan. We bring the Light of the Word to destroy the lies from Satan that people believe. What good is it to live in the Light, if our light doesn’t shine on people?
Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” (John 8:12) We reflect Christ to the world, because the spirit of Christ lives within us. Christ is seen in us as we reflect Christ through the Holy Spirit, because we have knowledge of the Word, which is the language of God.
Always remember, light will always take away darkness, so when Satan attacks respond with the light of God from the Word. Christ has total power over Satan, and we need His divine power to live in victory over Satan. Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. (James 4:7) If we always go the Lord when tempted, we can live in victory. And what a joy it is have victory over Satan.
Today seek to remain in the Light, and overcome any darkness from Satan. He will tempt our weakness, and trigger our emotions, so always be in control by the Holy Spirit.
Prayer: Father guide me to be a Light wherever I go, and to overcome any darkness from Satan. In Jesus name, Amen
