Life on Earth is a Mist
Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes.
James 4:14
When this life is over, we face eternal life, either in Heaven with the Father and the Son, or in Hell with Satan and the demons; it’s our choice. Yet many people live this life for their fleshly desires with little thought about eternal life. The purpose of this life is to live so Heaven will be our eternal home; which is stated in the Word. We decide on our eternal life, and many people believe Satan’s deceptions, falsely thinking Heaven is their eternal home.
People don’t seem to grasp the idea that once they die in the flesh, they will live forever in Heaven or forever is hell. Satan keeps us living for our fleshly desires, and keeps us away from reading the Word, and his goal is to steal people away from God. Then he said, ‘This is what I’ll do. I will tear down my barns and build bigger ones, and there I will store my surplus grain. And I’ll say to myself, You have plenty of grain laid up for many years. Take life easy; eat, drink and be merry. “But God said to him, You fool! This very night your life will be demanded from you. Then who will get what you have prepared for yourself?” (Luke 12:18-20) No one is promised tomorrow, therefore we must be ready to leave this earth for our eternal life at all times. We take for granted that we will live many more days, because God is given us time to find the truth.
Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it. (Matthew 7:13-14) Satan deceives people from finding the truth, and many people will live their complete life being deceived by Satan. The truth is found in Bible and people have their enter life to read and know the Word, but many people have the Bible but never read it, because it’s easier to believe Satan’s lies.
We are the ones who bring God’s truth to people who live in Satan’s deception, and we have to be careful because Satan’s lies are deep in their hearts. We have to know certain scriptures about salvation that doesn’t overwhelm people, and tell them its never to late to accept Christ. We invite them into a Biblical church family, where they can spiritually grow.
Today understand people that believe Satan’s lies, and gently bring them into God’s truth with a loving caring heart. And make sure they know you care about their worldly life and their eternal life.
Prayer: Guide me to bring deceived souls to Christ, because this life is a mist and how sad it will be if they die and never accept Christ. In Jesus name, Amen
