Life – Living for Christ
I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
Galatians 2:20
Satan tempts people to share their own desires with the desires of the Lord. But the best life is when we live by the desires of Christ who guides us in every step each day. This attitude brings divine peace, joy, confidence, and security into our life; and it brings us closer to the Lord with faith that pleases Him.
Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us. (Ephesians 3:20) When we live for Christ we will live in God’s power. He will give us his power to be a light in this evil world, bringing God’s love and truth to the world to overcome Satan’s lies.
Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving. (Colossians 3:23-24) If we live by this verse, we will do everything with all our hearts as doing it for Christ. We ask the Lord to guide our ever step and we do everything for Christ.
We may think we have lost our freedom when we do everything for Christ, but the truth is we gain our freedom, and we walk through life with the power and wisdom of God, with a heart of love for all people. We are now living as God created us, and this life is the most fulfilling and rewarding life we can live. People don’t realize total surrender to the Lord’s will is fulfilling, because Satan is always telling us the importance of our fleshly desires.
The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace. The mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God; it does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so. (Romans 8:6-7) God created us to live by the Spirit, walking in the nature of Jesus, who was guided by the Father. When our hearts have been changed by God, living for Christ is our hearts desire.
Today live serving Christ and reflect Jesus in everything you do. Slow down inside and don’t let Satan trigger your anger.
Prayer: Help me to live for Christ in everything I do. Guide in the Spirit through each step today. In Jesus name.
