Guided Through Life

Posted on

The LORD will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring
whose waters never fail.

Isaiah 58:11

Christians are guided through life by Christ speaking through the Holy Spirit into our minds and hearts. Take a moment and imagine being guided by God’s love, wisdom, and courage; know He is always with you. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” (Joshua 1:9 ESV) The Lord’s desire is to guide us through life enabling us to be a Light in this dark world.

The Lord is always with us but are we always with him? We have worldly thoughts on our job, while driving, and, while doing virtually every activity in life. So how do we follow Christ’s guidance when our thoughts need be focused on the world many times throughout the day?

The key to following Christ is to have the mind and heart of Jesus, which is a process that continues throughout our life. Communing with the Lord becomes natural and when our mind is taken away on other business, we can sense a subconscious connection to the Lord. When our mind is released from worldly thoughts, it goes back to God. Our mind is now trained to be connected on things above more than on things of the world. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. (Colossians 3:2)

Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. (Isaiah 41:10 ESV) The Lord desires a close loving relationship with us, and he is always with us. There is no limitation on how close a relationship we can have with the Lord.

The Lord will guide us through every detail of our life, if we depend on him and we ask for his guidance. We never take his guidance for granted but we ask for his divine help. The Lord loves us more than we can imagine, and he guides us to be a light in this world through his wisdom and knowledge. Be motivated for the Lord’s divine guidance and continue to pray to hear his voice through the Spirit and the Word.

Today, pray to walk in the Lord’s will, be calm inside and seek his divine guidance from the Word and through prayer. If the opportunity arises to minister to someone, be sure to call on the Lord for his guidance because he has divine knowledge.

Prayer: My desire, Lord, is to be guided by the Spirit and I need your divine help. I want to hear Christ through the Word, the Spirit, and in my heart. Today, I will be still inside and seek to fulfill your divine Word. In Jesus’ name, Amen
