Guided by Christ

Posted on

But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.

The Holy Spirit only speaks what he hears, which means the Spirit is our connection to Christ. Christ speaks to us and Spirit makes it understandable to each individual person; and when we speaks, the Spirit takes our words and thoughts and presents them to Christ.

You, however, are not in the realm of the flesh but are in the realm of the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, they do not belong to Christ. (Romans 8:9) Without the Holy Spirit from Christ we don’t belong to Christ (Romans 8:9), because we are connected to Christ through the Spirit. Christ knows us better than we know ourselves, because he knows every thought we have.
I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you should go; I will counsel you with My eye upon you. (Psalm 32:8) The Lord is with us as we go through our days. Knowing the Word of God is what enables us to be guided by Christ, and Christ is with us in every step. We commune with Christ, and we always ask for his guidance and help in everything.

Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. (Matthew 7:7-8) We depend on Christ, so we ask that He be with us and help us in every step we take. We ask for courage, wisdom, scriptures, safety, and for our words, and for anything else we made need. When we ask for Christ’s help, He knows exactly what we need, then our Words and scriptures will come from Christ, and from our knowledge of the Word. When we are ministering to others, we always seek the Lord’s words, because Christ knows the thoughts of the person we are ministering; and he knows the exact scripture that person needs to hear.

Today pray for the Lord’s guidance, and be guided by Christ and His Word. Knowing his Word makes it easier to be guided by Christ, because His guidance and the Word are always in agreement.

Prayer: Lord help me to always be guided by Christ, and never by my sinful will. In Jesus name, Amen.
