Good Becomes Evil in the Last Days

Posted on

Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter.

Isaiah 5:20

In the last days people will take what is good and say it is evil. For example I have heard people say that Christianity is evil. This is Satan’s attack because he takes what God has made good and turns it into evil, and people tend to follow this lie. I have been told that the world thinks that freedom would come from the destruction of religion because it places requirements and restrictions on people. This is a lie from Satan and the truth is that without guidance from our Lord the world will become evil and chaotic.

But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God (2 Timothy 3:1-4). Are we seeing more people today that fit this description, those who kill Christians, and random killing in public places? They will put you out of the synagogue; in fact, the time is coming when anyone who kills you will think they are offering a service to God (John 16:2). Satan is against God’s people and he is convincing people that killing Christians is a service to God.

We know God’s truth, but Satan will tempt us to take what God meant for good and turn it into something that’s not pleasing to God. Do not give the devil a foothold (Ephesians 4:27). Satan pushes us towards our own understanding, trying to weaken our faith in God. Trust in the Lord   with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding (Proverbs 3:5).

Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires (Romans 8:5). If our minds are set on what the Spirit desires we live by God’s truth, but if we live by what the flesh desires we live by Satan’s lies. The unbelieving world is living by Satan’s lies, driven mainly by their fleshly desires.

Today live by the truth, because Satan is always trying to turn good into evil. The world is in the last days and the world is becoming more evil, but the strength and wisdom from the Lord will keep us living by the truth. You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world (1 John 4:4). We have God’s power over Satan and his demons, therefore we live in victory.

Prayer: Lord thank you for protecting me from the evil one, from his lies and deceptions. Help me to endure whatever Satan places in my life, and to live in your divine power and truth. In Jesus name, Amen.
