God’s Truth will Never Change
If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth
1 John 1:6
We can believe anything that we desire, but God’s truth will never change. Every person that ever lived on this earth will be judged by God’s truth. Satan is the father of lies and many people believe his lies because it appeals to their fleshly desires. Satan’s lies will override God’s truth and cause people to live for money, power, or fame.
Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. (Romans 12:2) This verse is important because Satan tempts us to conform to the pattern of the world. This is our spiritual war — Satan’s lies from the world or God’s truth from Heaven.
For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. (2 Timothy 4:3) This is the world today, where people gather around others that please their itching ears with Satan’s lies that please their fleshly desires. It is amazing how many people are influenced by people and live to please others instead of listening to God’s truth and living to please God. People who conform to the pattern of this world, live by their own truth.
But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. (John 16:13) The indwelling Holy Spirit will guide us to know God’s truth because Christ brings us the truth through the Spirit. The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit. (1 Corinthians 2:14)
Today, know that if you have the indwelling Holy Spirit, you must live by God’s truth because judgment is only by God’s truth. We can believe anything from the world, but God’s truth never changes, and God is our judge.
Prayer: Lord, guide me in the Spirit to know the Truth, and to live by the Truth. Lord if I live by the truth, I will be aware of Satan’s lies from the world. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
