God’s Truth Never Changes

Posted on

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.

Hebrews 13:8

People have the tendency to believe what they desire to believe, and also justify whatever they desire.  This can be dangerous because we are judged by God, and the lies from Satan that people believe only effect the person. God’s truth is given in the Word, and people need to know what God expects of us to have eternal life.

Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. (John 8:32) We will be judged by the truth of the Word, and we will be judged by what we do, and the attitude of our hearts. And God knows our hearts because it is reflected by our thoughts. Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. (James 1:22) We are judged by what we do, and what motivates us to do what God desires of us.

Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. (Romans 8:5) Since God know our thoughts, he knows if we are guided by fleshly desires or by the Spirit. The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace. (Romans 8:6) Most people in this world live by their fleshly desires, because they don’t know God’s truth.

We must know the truth from God’s Word, and read the Word over and over so we know and live by the truth. And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. (2 Corinthians 11:14) We must always remember that God’s truth never changes, and we must live by the truth of his Word, to best of our ability. Satan is always around to deceive us, with the goal to justify our will over God’s will. This is the spiritual battle we all fight, our worldly nature verse God’s truth.  But we have forgiveness from Christ because we can never be perfect.

There are many Christians that live by God’s truth to the best of their ability. They know the word and read it every day, and you can see Christ in their life. However, there are people that believe Satan’s lies, they don’t read the Word, and they don’t know God. It’s our task to minister to everyone, those who don’t know the truth, and encourage those who live by the truth.

Today know that God’s truth never changes, and today seek to live in his divine truth. Be aware because Satan will try to pull us away from God’s truth, with anger, or with our own justification.

Prayer: Lord, help me to always know that your truth never changes, and guide me through the Spirit to do your will.  Guide me through your Word, so I will always know your truth. In Jesus name, Amen
