God’s Love is Unconditional

Posted on

But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Romans 5:8

God loves us more than we can image, and He sent his son to the cross so we can be separated from our sins. God hates sin and that is why Christ died for our sins. We receive the Holy Spirit, we seek forgiveness, and Christ forgives us and helps us to overcome our sins. We can never be perfect, but with Christ’s forgiveness, He presents to the Father as perfect.

We owe our eternal life to Christ, and to the Father for sending his Son to earth, to show us how to live and to die for our sins. Jesus walked this earth just as we walk this earth, and He never did a miracle for himself so He could experience the life we live. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these. (Mark 12:30-31) How can we not love the Lord because of his great love for us, and his love in our hearts causes us to love every person He created. Nothing draws us closer to the Lord than a heart filled with His divine unconditional love.

We have unconditional love for every human being on the planet, but we hate the lies and deceptions that they believe from Satan; and we also have people close to us that are deceived by Satan.  When we unconditionally love all people, our enemy becomes Satan and his demons.  We now hate Satan’s lies and temptations instead of hating people. Loving people and hating sin, makes us stronger spiritual warriors.

There is no room in our hearts for hating people, but there is plenty room in our hearts for hating sin. The more love we have for people, the more we hate Satan’s deception. You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. (Matthew 5:14) We are motivated to bring God’s truth to people, to overcome Satan’s lies. When we bring God’s truth to people, we are fighting Satan with the power of God. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. (Ephesians 6:12) We may not always see victory, but we fight with the power of the Word, and plant God’s truth in their minds which may not be realized until much later. Victory is bringing God’s truth to people with love and caring heart.

Today reflect Christ in your words and actions because you are planting seeds in people’s minds when you show kindness with caring heart; and remember you are always fighting Satan, not people. How can we hate people, because everyone was created by God in his image?

Prayer: Lord, fill my heart with unconditional love for everyone, even my enemies. And help me to remember I am fighting Satan and not people. In Jesus name, Amen
