God Works in all Things for Good

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

Romans 8:28

This is a powerful and meaningful promise from God, and we should know this our hearts. Everything we do for the Lord is for our good, and everything thing Satan does to stop us from serving the Lord, will backfire. Satan had the apostle Paul put in jail to try and stop him from servient the Lord, but God used his prison time to write the epistles to the churches.

Look at all the suffering the apostle Paul had to endure, but the Lord carried him through, and filled his soul with blessings from Heaven that were so powerful that Paul was ready to leave this life and be with Christ. I am torn between the two: I desire to depart and be with Christ, which is better by far; but it is more necessary for you that I remain in the body. (Philippians 1:23-24) Imagine serving Christ with a heart that desires to be with Christ.

Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, (Romans 8:1) When we fall into sin, we pray for forgiveness and divine power to overcome, but we don’t condemn ourselves.  Condemnation moves us backwards in our walk with Christ, but conviction by the Spirit moves us forward in walk with Christ. When we sin, Christ motivates us to overcome the sinful habit. This works for our good because we become stronger spiritual warriors.

Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, (Ephesians 3:20) The Lord puts his power in us to overcome any sinful temptation. Although we have divine power, we must have a plan on how to use this power in our spiritual battle.  We can be aware when sin attacks and fight the desire with the power of God using our battle plan.  If we develop a good battle plan, we are guaranteed victory because the power of God is fighting for us.

Therefore, God works our spiritual warfare for our good, guiding us to victory and knowing we have power over Satan, and power over our own sinful desires. The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still. (Exodus 14:14) When sinful temptations come, be still inside, call on the Lord, and quote scriptures from your battle plan. We must slow down when tempted, and calmly fight the temptation, because as we slow down it gives more time to overcome before the emotion takes over and sin is conceived in our minds.

Today know the Lord uses everything for your good, if we call on the Lord and have a plan to fights sinful temptations. The Lord will make us strong spiritual warriors.

Prayer: Lord use everything in my life for good, and make me a strong spiritual warrior. In Jesus name, Amen
