God Works All Things for Good

Posted on

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

Romans 8:28

This verse is one of God’s promises that only God can fulfill, and we need to have this verse in our hearts as we go through life in this lost world. The Lord will guide us through anything Satan puts in our path, and we are promised spiritual blessings and often we experience physical blessings.  Our faith increases as we go through the difficulties of this life, increasing our closeness to the Lord.

And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. (Hebrews 11:6) We may find it difficult to trust the Lord when going through tragic times, but there is no greater time to show our trust in the Lord.  Do we exercise our faith when life is easy and comfortable?

Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” (Matthew 19:26) When life is difficult, picture Christ looking at you and saying, “all things are possible for God.” When we pray with faith, we will see the Lord’s divine work in us, just as Jesus healed those with faith. The Lord is pleased when we trust Him because it reveals we know Him, His divine love and power. We must be careful not to limit His infinite power by the power of mankind.

Jesus said to him, “If you can believe? All things are possible for one who believes.” (Mark 9:23 NASB) It is impossible for God to lie, so we can believe that God will make all things good. Love is the foundation of the Christian life, and faith comes from a heart of love. A closer relationship with the Lord comes from serving him, motivated by a heart of love. Our love and faith increase because we know His love for us and that He will make all things good.

Today, serve the Lord knowing He will make all things good. Pray for more of His love in your heart, for faith that pleases Him, and for His divine power to make us more like Christ.

Prayer:  Thank you for your promise to make all things good for those who love you and called according to your purpose.  Guide me in the Spirit to fulfill your will so I can live according to your purpose.  In Jesus name, Amen
