God Speaks to Us
My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand.
John 10:27-28
God fills us with the Holy Spirit and Christ makes his home in our hearts. If the Lord’s desire is to guide us through life with his, peace, and joy; then he must speak to us to guide through each day. What a great thrill it is when our minds hear a message from the Lord.
I love those who love me; And those who diligently seek me will find me. (Proverbs 8:17) If we are motivated, pray, and seek the Lord; will find Him, and he will reveal his message to us. The key to hear from the Lord is our motivation.
The Word is the language of God; we read the Word and ask the Lord to reveal to us what he wants us to know. The more we ask the Lord when we read the Word, the more certain scriptures will catch our attention. We stop and pray; we will find the scripture has application in our current life. Any message we get from the Lord will always agree with Word.
When we are ministering to some one or teaching a Bible class, and we pray for the Lord’s guidance, He will give us the words and scriptures that the people we are ministering need to hear. Thoughts come into our mind on the scripture and the words to use. When reading the Word, make it a conservation with the Lord.
For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. (Hebrews 4:12) The Word is living and active because the Lord speaks to our thoughts as we read scripture. He will reveal scriptures that will pierce our soul and hit our heart.
The Lord lives in our hearts and he will speak to us by guiding our hearts. Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it. (Proverbs 4:24) Knowing the Word and asking the Lord for his divine guidance; he will guide our hearts.
Today hear the Lord through His Word, through his guidance, when ministering to people, through Godly people, and through circumstances in our life. Pray that you will hear what the Lord wants you know and he will make it clear to you.
Lord I will seek you with all my heart for your divine guidance through the Spirit. Help me to hear what you want me to know, to make me more like Christ In Jesus name Amen.
