God Shows No Partiality

For the Lord your God is the God of gods and Lord of lords. He is the great God, the mighty and awesome God, who shows no partiality and cannot be bribed.

Deuteronomy 10:17

We read the Word and we see how God blesses David, Abraham, and Paul, and do we think God will bring us the same blessings? God loves us as much as anyone in all history, and we can receive all the blessings from God.

I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. (Philippians 4:12) Paul lived in the Spirit and was closer to the Lord than to the world. He received the blessings from Christ through the Spirit, constantly feeding his soul. We have the Spirit and we can have these same blessings constantly feeding our soul. If we commune with the Lord placing him first in our life, and we live to serve him, then our thoughts are toward the Spirit bringing us close to the Lord and receiving his blessings. If our thoughts are primarily focused on the world, then we will not experience the powerful blessing from God.

Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. (Colossians 3:2) If we place our thoughts on things above and live to serve the Lord we can experience life to the full like Paul experienced. What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ (Philippians 3:8) Christ will bring us the same blessings that he brought Paul, if we follow the Spirit serving the Lord, bringing a light into the world. The more we are motivated to serve the Lord the more fulfilling and meaningful our life.

It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. (Galatians 5:1) Christ sets us free from bondage to the world, and there is no freedom in this world that compares to the freedom from Christ. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. (John 8:36)

Today know that you can receive all the blessings from God because you are loved by God and you are important to him. He doesn’t compare you with anyone, and he molds you to be like his Son so you can overcome the world. Remember you are a temporary ambassador for Christ in a foreign land, Heaven is your home.

Prayer: Lord help me to remember that you never show partiality so I can strive to always be closer you and to be more Christ-like. Help me to be everything you created me to be, all for your glory. In Jesus name, Amen
