God is Our Father

For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God.

Romans 8:14

How often do understand God as our Father?  We have a perfect Father who loves us more than we can imagine, and all things are possible for Him. Like all fathers, He disciplines us to make us more like Jesus.  That is a blessing because we know Jesus is God and he is perfect in every way.

I give eternal life to them, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand. (John 10:28-29 NASB)  This should make us secure knowing nothing on the face of the earth can separate us from the Father and the Son because we accepted his Son as our Savior and we have eternal life. God wants us to be with Him and He will not let anything keep us being with Him in Heaven. He will give us his strength and endurance to overcome anything Satan puts in our path.

Our Father has given, through Christ, his power to work in us. Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, (Ephesians 3:20) We can pray and meditate on this verse and our hearts will motivate us to live in the divine power of Christ.

We are in the family of God and the more time we spend with our family, the closer we are to Christ. We are Christian brothers and sisters; we worship together.  This will bring us closer to Christ and closer to our divine family. The Lord ministers to us through our Christian family for guidance, support, and accountability.  And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near. (Hebrews 10:24-25) Our Christian family lifts us up with encouragement, motivating us to stay on the narrow road to eternal life.

Today, remember you are in the family God and He is your Father who loves you with his infinite love. Know he will take care of you today if you seek to obey his divine will by following the Holy Spirit.

Prayer: Thank you for being my perfect loving Father.  Guide me in your Spirit to obey your perfect will. Thank you, Lord for guiding me through life to my eternal home, where I can be with you forever.  In Jesus’ name, Amen
