God is For Us
What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?
Romans 8:31
God is for us because he loves us more than we can imagine, he uses his divine power, all things are possible for him, and He uses all things for our good. God is for us, who can be against us. God is sovereign above all creations and we have victory in Christ when we follow his will.
My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me; and I give eternal life to them, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand. (John 10:27-29) Knowing in our hearts that God is for us, he gives eternal life, and no one can snatch us out of His hands, gives us the courage to live in this world for Christ. The Apostles knew this verse in their hearts, and they lived for Christ to their physical death. All the Apostles, except for John, were martyred for bringing Christ to the world but they knew Christ was with them and they had eternal life. This gave them the courage to serve Christ and to overcome opposition wherever they went.
But the Lord is faithful; he will strengthen you and guard you from the evil one. (2 Thessalonians 3:3 NLT) The Lord gives His strength and protects us from the evil one. The Father always protects those in His family. He places His Spirit in us to guide us through life with His wisdom and power. There is no temptation from Satan that we cannot overcome. No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it. (1 Corinthians 10:13) It is important to know that there is no temptation that we cannot overcome if we call on Christ for His power. Remember, God is for us.
Today, remember God is for you and He will guide you through with victory in Christ. Live today with the power of Christ.
Prayer: Lord, thank you for being for me and guiding me through life with the power of Christ in me. This is a blessing beyond words, thank you. In Jesus name, Amen
