God is Everywhere

Posted on

Who can hide in secret places so that I cannot see them?" declares the Lord. "Do not I fill heaven and earth?" declares the Lord.

Jeremiah 23:24

God is the creator of all things and he fills the heavens and the earth, and if we are conscious of knowing God is in all things, then we will see the world through spiritual eyes.  Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. (James 1:17) Knowing God is everywhere, gives us comfort and security, because we know all things are possible for God.

We should look for God in this world, and note how easy it is to see Satan in this world.  We see Satan in this world when we hear about shootings, killing of Christians, and even road rage.  We can immediately associate evil events to Satan and his demons. But we should look to see God’s character in this world?

We cannot see the spiritual dimension, but we can see the effect God has on the world.  But if Christ is in you, then even though your body is subject to death because of sin, the Spirit gives life because of righteousness (Romans 8:10).  God is love, therefore when we see loving caring behavior we see God, or when we see the beauty of creation, we see God. The main reason people cannot see God is because they are not looking, but we see Satan because evil events stand out in this world.

We can be spiritually minded and look for God’s presence in people and in the beauty of the world.  Seek the Lord and his strength; Seek his face continually. (1 Chronicles 16:11)   Life will be more peaceful when we know God is everywhere, because it reminds us of his perfect love for us.

Today slow down and be mindful of knowing God is everywhere.  See God when you see love, when you see the beauty of creation, and when you see orderly behavior, and let people see God in you by exhibiting Christ-like behavior.

Prayer:  Lord, help me know your presence in all things, to see your heart and love in this world. Thank you for revealing yourself through your Word, through Christ, through the Holy Spirit, and through your creation.  In Jesus name, Amen
