God Desires All to be Saved
God our Savior - who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
1 Timothy 2:3-4
God reaches out to everyone to receive Christ and to be saved, so they will live for eternity in Heaven. God desires to bless us in this life and to give us a perfect life in Heaven. The Father and the Son love us and desire to be with us forever. The blessings he has waiting for us in Heaven is far above our imagination.
He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all–how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? (Romans 8:32) The love the Father and the Son have for us is shown by his own Son going to the cross to take the punishment for our sins. It is this perfect love that God has for us that reveals his desire to save us and live with him in Heaven.
So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. (Isaiah 41:10). We go through life serving the Lord with his guidance and strength and without fear because he will carry us through life to our Heavenly home. But the Lord is faithful. He will establish you and guard you against the evil one. (2 Thessalonians 3:3) The Lord is with us, he guides us through the Holy Spirit, and guards us against the evil one.
The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory. (Romans 8:16-17) When we accept Christ as Lord and Savior, we receive the indwelling of the Holy Spirit becoming one with the Lord. We are blessed to be in God’s family because he knows us intimately and he is our perfect Father. The Lord takes care of his children giving us his strength and wisdom to overcome the world and to be free in Christ.
Today, realize how much God loves you and desires to be with you in Heaven and live the perfectly fulfilling life. Let this motivate you to serve him and to tell others of the reward God has waiting for them.
Prayer: Lord thank you for saving me and for guiding me through life to my Heavenly home. Help me to tell others how they can travel the narrow road to eternal life. In Jesus’ name, Amen
