God – Creator of Love
Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.
1 John 4:7
God’s love is more than we can imagine, and his perfect love means he hates sin; and the more of God’s love we have in our hearts, the more we will hate sin. It’s a heart filled with God’s love that truly enables us to know God, and overcome any sinful habits.
Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these. (Mark 12:30-31) Love is the greatest command because the Lord wants us to be motivated by love in everything we do. Love connects us to God, such that we are lost if Christ is not with us; because love is the only thing that truly makes us live for Christ, because we care for lost souls.
For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. (Romans 8:29) When we accept Christ as our Lord and savior, then we become the image of Jesus. The most important thing that conforms us to the image of Jesus, is a heart filled with God’s love, because love is what motivated Jesus. A heart of love always brings God’s truth to people with a compassionate heart.
If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. (John 15:7) Love enables us to know Christ through a better understanding of the Word; and drives us to be closer to Christ. Our faith now fully depends on Christ, and Christ is our life. I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. (John 15:5) We need Christ to be with us at all times, because apart from Christ we can do nothing.
Today bring God’s love to everyone with kindness and respect, and pray the Lord fills your heart with more of his divine love; because love is the greatest command.
Prayer, Lord help me to motivated in everything by your divine love, because love and respect is how we interface with people. In Jesus name, Amen
