God Cares for You

Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

1 Peter 5:7

In reading the Bible we know that God cares for and loves His people. But do we group ourselves in with all the people he loves? Or, do we see and know God’s love personally and receive his love exclusively from the rest of the world? Do we live with this oneness in relationship with the Lord, aware that he knows us perfectly? As children of God, He is focused on us for every second of our existence. He doesn’t compare us to anyone but, instead, molds us to be the unique, Christ-like people that he created us to be.

For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known. (1 Corinthians 13:12) When we step into heaven we will know fully, but this verse reveals that our God knows us fully now. If we had the mental capability to know God’s love for us, to know how important we are to him, and to know how much he wants us to be with him in heaven forever; we probably would stay on our knees in thanksgiving. This is the truth of God’s infinite love and care for us. He knows us perfectly, even better than we know ourselves. And yet, He is pleased with those in His family.

For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8:38-39) Know God’s love personally just as you know the love of a spouse, a relative, or a friend. Your relationship with the Lord can be your closest and most meaningful relationship. God loves you perfectly and blesses those in his family through His Spirit.

God is focused on his children constantly because he cares for them and wants them to be molded to the image of His Son. If you are His child, He will give you divine guidance and help you through every detail of your life. When your life is over then He will bring you home. He cares about you and can help you more than you ever know. If we live by faith we will experience His love and His blessings. So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. (Isaiah 41:10) Remember, the Lord is always with His people. He is always willing and able to care for you regardless of what Satan throws in your path.

Today, realize that the Lord is with you every second and cares for you perfectly. He desires to guide and help you through every incident in your day with his infinite love, wisdom, and power. Trust the Lord because he can guide you far beyond your own understanding and lift you far above your own capabilities. Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us. (Ephesians 3:20)

Let’s pray: Lord, help me to have a personal relationship with you. A relationship that is just you and me. Fill my mind and heart with your love as I reflect it to the world. Let your love and compassion flow through me to the world, and allow your love to change me forever. In Your perfect wisdom, mold me and make me more Christ-like. Thank you Lord for saving me through your work on the cross. Help me to surrender my life to your good, pleasing and perfect will. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
