Give Glory to God

Posted on

So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.

1 Corinthians 10:31

We give glory to God because it is a blessing to us, and the more we give glory to God the closer we are to God, and the more fulfilling our life becomes. Everything we do in this life for God, becomes a divine blessing to us. Satan wants is to give glory to self which will cause us to self-centered, but the truth is when we give glory to God, we live secure in Christ with peace and joy.

Not to us, O Lord, not to us, but to your name give glory, for the sake of your steadfast love and your faithfulness! (Psalm 115:1) Just as Christ gave glory to the Father, and we are also to give glory to God. It’s amazing how better our life is when we live to give glory to God, and it changes us to be more like Jesus. We are created in the image of God which means we give glory to God because it’s our nature

In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven. (Matthew 5:16) We give glory to God when we are guided by Christ being light in the world, telling others about salvation in Christ. We pray for the Lord to open doors to minister to lost souls and we pray that the Lord will be with us, and He is pleased when we ask.

Because anyone who serves Christ in this way is pleasing to God and receives human approval. (Romans 14:18) We give glory to God when we live to serve Christ, and we serve Christ because he knows us and intercedes for us to the Father. We have forgiveness from Christ because we cannot be perfect living in our flesh. It’s a divine blessing to have Christ guide us through life, because he cares about every detail of our life.

Today seek to give glory to God in everything you think, say, do; and soon it will become a habit, and bring you closer to the Lord. The more we God the glory, the more it benefits us.

Prayer:  Lord, guide my heart t give you all the glory, and thankfulness that Christ is willing to guide me through life and into Heaven. In Jesus name, Amen
