Free From the World

Posted on

Everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith.

1 John 5:4

God’s divine plan is to free us from this sinful world, and he does this through the Holy Spirit by feeding divine blessings into our soul. God’s plan for us is so powerful, we feel the constant presence of Christ; because our spirit can live in the Kingdom within us.

Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. (Acts 2:38) The first step in God’s plan is receive the Spirit of God within us, which connects us to the Father and the Son. We are truly blessed to have the Holy Spirit and for Christ’s willingness to guide us through life with his love, wisdom and power.

And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. (Hebrews 11:6) As we read the Bible and seek to obey the commands through the power of God, our faith grows because we are getting closer to Christ. Now that we have the Spirit and serving Christ, God is renewing our minds from the ways of the world, to the ways of God. The mind actually rewires itself based on our thoughts.

Now when He was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He answered them and said, “The kingdom of God does not come with observation; nor will they say, ‘See here!’ or ‘See there!’ For indeed, the kingdom of God is [within you.” (Luke 17:20-21) Jesus tells us the Kingdom is within us, and if our thoughts are on things above, then our spirit is living in the Kingdom, while our flesh lives in the world.

It’s important to know that life in our spirit, and when are thoughts are on things above, we are now in the Kingdom and separated from the world. As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead. (James 2:26) Life is our spirit and only God can satisfy our spirit, and our spirit is our thoughts, will, and personality.

Pray without ceasing, (1 Thessalonians 5:17) For our spirit to live in the Kingdom, and Christ is our life and we depend on him for everything. We commune with him at all times just as if he was walking beside us.  This will enable us to keep our thoughts on things above and remain in the Kingdom.  Now we cannot do this perfectly because we live in the flesh, but we ask the Lord for his power to control our thoughts. The more we praise and thank God the more thankful heart we develop, and the more we control our thoughts

We live in this world and we interface to the world through the Holy Spirit, and we ask the Lord for his guidance in this world. He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” (Psalm 46:10) If we are still inside, and we truly depend on the Lord for everything, we progress in controlling our thoughts on things above.

Today live in the plan God created for you, live in the Kingdom with peace and joy, and interface to the world through the Spirit; and seek to live closer to the Lord than to the world.

Prayer: Lord, help me to live according to your divine plan, and to live serving Christ. In Jesus name, Amen
