First Seek His Kingdom

Posted on

But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

Mathew 6:33

Our priority is seeking his Kingdom, and having the faith that he will provide for our earthly needs. Providing for earthly needs means Chris.t will make it possible to provide for our self and our families; and we have faith to use our financial resources in accordance his divine will.

And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. (Hebrews 11:6) The most important aspect of our faith is serving Christ as our priority. We live for Christ with a close relationship, and our desire is serving him as he guides down the narrow road toward Heaven.

I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. (Galatians 2:20) These are words of the apostle Paul, who did his best to live for Christ’s will, and die to his will. This is the battle we all face, because Satan tempts us to live by our own will.

Then Jesus said, “Did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?” (John 11:40) If we truly believe and live by the promises of God, we will see the glory of God.  When we truly believe, we will live by his commands, knowing if Christ is first in our life, He will provide. We prove our faith by obeying his commands.

Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.” (John 6:35) The Lord not only makes it easy to provide for our worldly needs, he also feeds our soul with the blessings from Heaven.  Blessings from Heaven that continuously feeds our soul: are love, peace, joy, comfort, patience, and through the Spirit he fills our soul with whatever we need, otherwise how could overcome the world?

Today seek his Kingdom by your thoughts, words, and actions; guided by Christ and the Word. And remember the most fulfilling life is living for Christ.

Prayer:  Guide me to do your will, and help me to crucify my will. I pray that my life is pleasing to you, and if not, change me.  In Jesus name, Amen
