Fight Satan’s Lies with God’s Truth
Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.
John 8:32
People who don’t know the Word are by default believing Satan’s lies. We bring God Truth to these people by bringing them God’s truth by quoting scripture. If we use our own words most likely they will not believe us, but if we quote scripture, they are more likely to believe. Below are some of Satan’s lies I have heard from many people.
The Bible was written by men. For prophecy never had its origin in the human will, but prophets, though human, spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit. (2 Peter 1:21) There are approximately 2500 prophecies in the Bible and over 2000 have come true in every detail hundreds of years later, and prophecies tell what is going to happen in the future. If we know Revelations, we can tell them what will be happening in the future.
I hope my good out-weighs my bad. For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:23) No person is good enough to be with the perfect God, because we all need forgiveness, and that is what Christ did we he took our sins to the cross. We have forgiveness when we accept Christ as Lord and Savior, and receive the Holy Spirit.
What is the Holy Spirit? And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, they do not belong to Christ. (Romans 8:9) The Holy Spirit lives in the believer, and it’s our connection to Christ and the Father. But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. (John 16:13) The Holy Spirit is our guide and gives us the power to change, to become more like Christ. For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, (Romans 8:29) For all those who accept Christ as their Savior, are predestined to be molded by God to the mind and heart of Jesus.
I am saved because I believe Jesus is the Son of God. If we don’t believe that Jesus is the Son of God, we are not saved; but that is not all we believe and do. “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.” We do the will of Christ by following the commands in the Bible, and we ask the Lord for his power to help us do his will. Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. (James 1:22) Our hearts get filled with God’s love when we obey the Word, guided by the Holy Spirit.
I don’t believe in God. People can believe anything they desire, but God’s truth never changes. After our last breath we face eternal judgment, Heaven or hell; it’s our choice.
Today equip your self to overcome Satan’s lies that people believe, by bringing them God’s truth from the Word. It’s good to make a handout for every lie Satan plants in people’s minds.
