Faith Changes Us

Posted on

Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.

John 8:24

Faith changes us because our Christian life is based on faith. Faith shows that we know God and we fully trust him. When we live by faith, it pleases God more than we can imagine. And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. (Hebrews 11:6) Nothing pleases God more than our faith in him, as we fully trust to walk in his good, pleasing and perfect will. Living by faith causes the Holy Spirit to fill us like a flowing river.

Faith comes by knowing the Lord, his love for us, his care for us, his divine guidance, and his desire to keep us on the narrow road to eternal life. Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” (Matthew 19:26) The Lord wants us to know there is nothing in our life that he cannot carry us through, protecting our soul for eternal life. He wants us to know his perfect love for us so we can fully trust him and walk in this fallen world without fear. Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell. (Matthew 10:28) Our soul is the eternal us and our flesh is our earthly suit. When we leave this earthly suit behind, our soul continues to live, and when Christ returns we get a new perfect, eternal, young suit that never ages and has any aches or pains.

When we fully trust the Lord, knowing his perfect love and guidance, all things are possible. Then faith has greatly changed us. We now live life to the full and we kill any fear from Satan, because we trust the Lord and his promises.

Increase your faith today by filling your heart with the Lord’s love, by ministering to lost souls. The more love in our hearts, the closer we are to the Lord because “God is love.” The more love in our hearts, the more faith we have. And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love (1 Corinthians 13;:13)

Today, walk in faith without any doubt, fully trusting the Lord’s perfect ways and do not lean own your own understanding. Then the Lord will be pleased and guide you perfectly with his blessings.

Prayer: Lord, fill my heart with your love so I can be closer to you and trust you more. I pray that my faith will be pleasing to you, trusting your perfect guidance to minister to the world and to overcome Satan’s evil temptations. In Jesus name, Amen
