Facing the Unknown

Posted on

I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.

Psalm 32:8

Facing the future can be worrisome based on the state of the world today. We can plan our daily activities, but we cannot predict what may actually happen, and we certainly cannot accurately predict the long-term future. However, we have no need to worry because the Lord is sovereign over all creation and we walk in the Lord’s family meaning he will protect our soul and guide us through life with his power and strength into our Heavenly home.

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. (Jeremiah 29:11) The Lord knows the future and he has a divine plan for us, and if we follow the Spirit we will live until the Lord’s plan is completed. Fulfilling the Lord’s plan keeps us from worry about the future but fills us hope about the future. Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. This is what the ancients were commended for. (Hebrews 11:1-2) We live with confident faith in our Lord with our hearts filled with his love which destroys fear from Satan. Satan wants us to fear the unknown future, but God’s love triumphs over Satan’s fear.

We don’t worry because we live in victory and we know the future, Heaven is our home. The more eternally minded we are, the more we overcome the world. The Lord is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me? (Psalm 118:6) Mankind cannot touch our eternal spiritual soul, and the Lord protects our soul from being controlled by the world. Every child of God defeats this evil world, and we achieve this victory through our faith. (1 John 5:4 NLT)

Today live in victory with no fear of the world because we live with the power and strength from the Lord and Heaven is our eternal home. Display your hope in Christ and the joy of knowing Heaven is your eternal home. Living without fear or worry means we live with peace and joy because we trust the Lord.

Prayer: Lord thank you for filling my heart with your love and guiding me to face the unknown with confident hope in you and overcoming any fear or worry from Satan. Help me to always walk in faith with my heart filled with your love, peace, and joy. In Jesus name, Amen
