Facing the Future
I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.
Psalm 32:8
Facing the future can be worrisome based on the state of the world today, because Satan is working to turn the world against Christians. We have no need to fear because the Lord is sovereign over all creation and we walk closer to the Lord each day. The Lord will protect our soul and guide us through life into our Heavenly home; independent of what Satan does in this world.
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. (Jeremiah 29:11) The Lord knows the future and he has a divine plan for us, and no one can snatch us out of his righteous hand. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. (John 10:28) Knowing this verse in our hearts, takes away fear and keeps us living for eternal life.
We live in victory because Christ is with us and he guides us into the future to our Heavenly home. Lord is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me? (Psalm 118:6) Mankind cannot touch our eternal spiritual soul, and life is our spirit.
Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell. (Matthew 10:28) We live to serve the Lord to our last breath, and we go to our heavenly home. We never die, only the flesh dies, because life is in our spirit. The body without the spirit is dead, (James 2:26) So no matter how evil Satan makes the world, we live in victory because we are in God’s family.
Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. This is what the ancients were commended for. (Hebrews 11:1-2) We live with faith that keeps us close to Christ and we know we have victory because God is in total control of all creation.
Today live in victory with no fear, because we live with the power and strength from the Lord, and Heaven is our eternal home.
Prayer: Lord thank you for filling my heart with your love and guiding me to face the unknown with confident hope in you, and overcoming any fear from Satan. In Jesus name, Amen
