Explain the Truth
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places,
Ephesians 1:3
The Lord blesses us through the Spirit, and His blessings continually feed our souls until we see perfection in Heaven. God created us in His image, and His blessings are totally fulfilling. The blessings from God are eternal and they get stronger as our soul gets closer to the Lord; while blessings from the world are temporary because they normally affect only the flesh. When our eternal soul is satisfied from the Lord’s blessings, our flesh is content. We can never satisfy our eternal soul by temporarily satisfying our flesh. The lost world lives for their fleshly desires.
The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace. (Romans 8:6) If our thoughts are on satisfying our fleshly desires, we will never have eternal life. But if our thoughts are governed by the Spirit, we have eternal life. The Truth is that only God can give us life to the full by satisfying our eternal soul. We need to reflect a life of love, peace, and joy in all situations so others know our attitude comes from Christ. We explain to the world how Christ feeds our soul, and how our flesh is satisfied from the soul.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. (Galatians 5:22-23) When we accept Christ as Savor and are baptized, we will be assured of having the indwelling Holy Spirit. The fruit of the Spirit will continuously feed our souls as we live to serve the Lord. The Spirit connects us to Christ who guides us through life with his love and divine power. The truth is only Christians have the Holy Spirit while non-believers are disconnected from Christ and they live to feed their flesh.
And this is what he promised us—eternal life. (1 John 2:25) Our temporary flesh is from the earth and returns to the earth. Our soul is from God and returns to God, and we live forever. When Christ returns, we get an eternal perfect body. This is the most powerful truth to tell others, complete with scriptures and with scientific proof.
Be prepared to tell others the Truth, to those who don’t believe the Word, those who believe we developed through evolution, that God doesn’t exist, that hell doesn’t exist, or those who think money brings true contentment and joy. These are subjects we will face when ministering to lost souls, and we need to be prepared to answer these types of questions.
Today, seek to bring the Truth to others and reflect the Truth in your life by showing love with a caring heart. Think about preparing a document with answers to worldly beliefs, and this document will increase as you minister to lost souls. The answers will come from the Word and from true science.
Prayer: Lord, guide me in preparing to bring your Truth to lost souls and to answer questions that come from non-believers. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
