Everlasting Peace and Joy
I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want.
Philippians 4:11-12
Only God can give us everlasting contentment that continuously feed our soul through the Spirit. The blessings from God feeds our soul with love, peace, joy, mercy, forgiveness, wisdom, security and whatever he knows we need, and this will give us continuous contentment. And we know Heaven is our eternal home which gives us more courage to be a light in this world.
Satan has the world living for their fleshly desires, that only temporally satisfy the flesh. It is like chasing a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow, when trying lasting contentment from the world. Many people think money or power will bring them lasting contentment, but the truth is nothing on this sinful planet will bring us lasting contentment except God.
For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it. (Matthew 7:13-14) Every person on the planet that haven’t accepted Christ as their Lord and Savior, are lost in the darkness of the broad road. Unless the find the truth from the Word they will never leave he broad road. Instead, those on the broad road live by Satan’s lies, and some hope they will go to Heaven.
Christians live on the narrow road going toward the light of God, and we are to bring the light onto the broad road so people can see the Light of God. That is the purpose of every Christian, using the talents the Lord has given us, to bring people over to the narrow road into the light. The more we can bring people to Christ, the more powerful the blessings God feeds our soul. The less life is about self, and more Serving Christ and helping others to find Christ, the greater the blessings that feed our soul.
The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace. (Romans 8:6) Those on the broad road to destruction, their minds are governed by their fleshly desires, while those on the narrow road, their minds are governed by the Spirit and they have lasting peace and joy. Satan always feed people with lies that make them do the opposite of God’s ways. It is good to write a paper listing the lies that people believe, then add a scripture to each lie that reveals the Truth from the Word, showing their belief is a lie from Satan. Do this with love and mercy to people, and tell them they can accept Christ immediately.
Today: Prepare to help people overcome Satan’s lies. It necessary to prepare because these lies are deeply embedded in people’s hearts. And always be prepared to defend the truth of the Word.
Prayer: Lord guide me to be prepared to bring your Truth to lost souls, with love and patients, so they live with lasting peace and joy. In Jesus name, Amen
