Don’t Conform to the Pattern of this World
Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
Romans 12:2
Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it. (Matthew 7:13-14) If we conform to the pattern of the world we are on the broad road to eternal destruction, because we never found the truth of living on the narrow road to eternal life. If we don’t know God’s Truth from the Word, we will live in Satan’s deception by default. There are many good people in this world, but they don’t have the Spirit and they don’t belong to Christ. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, they do not belong to Christ. (Romans 8:9)
We live everyday doing the will of God, and no matter what we are doing, we do it serving Christ. Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving. (Colossians 3:23-24) When we reflect the mind and heart of Jesus in everything we do, and we tend do things better.
We remain Holy people, because we walk with Christ and we do not conform to the pattern of the world. We travel through life on the narrow road leads us to eternal life in Heaven. The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever. (1 John 2:1) Our spirit can live in the Kingdom within us, as our flesh lives in the world. Living in the Kingdom we are closer to the Lord than we are to the world. Remember are spirit is our thoughts, personality, and will; life is in the spirit and not in flesh. As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead. (James 2:20) God breathed his spirit into us and we became alive. Then the LORD God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being. (Genesis 2:7)
Today make sure you do not live by the sinful pattern of the world but remain Holy, being a light for Christ.
Prayer: Lord guide me in the Spirit and away from the sinful pattern of the world, and guide me to minister to the world with your divine Truth. In Jesus name, Amen
