Depend on the Lord

Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.

Matthew 7:7

How powerful is our faith if we depend on the Lord?  If we live for Christ and depend on him for everything and with a thankful heart. Our dependence is on Christ otherwise we will depend on self, and we are to reflect Christ in everything we do. Christ places thoughts in our minds through the Holy Spirit.

For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you. (Isaiah 41:13) Whatever we are doing we do for the Lord, and we always seek his presence with us. We trust the Lord and we depend on his divine help, especially when we are ministering to the world. I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. (John 15:5)  We are always doing our best to reflect Christ and we cannot do this without Christ being us.

This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him. (1 John 5:14-15) We depend on the Lord and we patiently wait for his divine answer.  If we are ministering and we ask he will place scriptures into our thoughts.

We depend on the Lord, both in our minds and in our hearts.  Sometimes, when we do not depend on the Lord, then by default we are depending on self. I keep my eyes always on the Lord. With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken. (Psalm 16:8) Always keep your eyes on the Lord because you can depend on him, because he is loves us and is faithful to those who serve him.

Today Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, (Ephesians 3:20) You can trust the Lord to release his power in you, and live today with his divine power.

Prayer:  Help me to trust your ways over my ways, knowing your ways are above my ways as the heavens are above the earth.  In Jesus’ name, Amen
