Created for Heart of Love – Part 3

Posted on

No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.

1 John 4:12

When our hearts are complete with God’s love, the commands in the Word become natural and desirable to us. The commands in the Bible actually describe our new Godly character. However, we are not perfect and sometimes we fall short of pleasing God, but we have Godly sorrow and forgiveness through Christ.

He answered, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’; and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.” (Luke 10:27) When love is complete in us, we love the Lord with all our heart, soul, and strength, and the Lord will have first priority in our life. We now have God’s love in our hearts to give to family, friends and for everyone.

With our new Godly character, we love our enemies and pray for them because God’s love is unconditional. With unconditional love in our hearts, we have love for everyone because we care. Our hatred goes toward sin and we become Spiritual warriors because we see how Satan has deceived people that makes us angry, especially when we are tempted by Satan. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. (Ephesians 6:12) We now have love for everyone, but we hate their sinful behavior, and we blame Satan.

We will know the Lord when our hearts are filled with His love, our new character desires to be the Lord’s servant, and we trust the Lord with all our hearts.  We depend on the Lord for everything, and we desire to follow Christ.  We place the Lord’s will over our will because we find the Lord’s will is more fulfilling than things of the world.

Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. (James 1:22) Our desire is to do what the Word says because every scripture speaks to us. We put the Lord’s will first, and we schedule our life around His will. We willingly accept every command in the Bible knowing Christ is with us and He will plan our steps.  We know every command is important and how each command will change us for a more fulfilling life in Christ.

Today, know God’s love in your heart will change your attitude so you will desire to do the Lord’s will.  You will always accept the Lord’s will because you see him as the Master and trust Him with all your heart.

Prayer: Lord, guide me so the commands in the Word become desirable and natural to me. Guide me in the Spirit to change my heart to the heart of Jesus. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
