Christ’s Love is Forever
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?Romans 8:35
The love God has for us is beyond our imagination, and His love never ends. The LORD appeared to us in the past, saying: I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness. (Jeremiah 31:3) We are loved by God the author of love, and His love is so powerful that when it fills our hearts we are changed.
Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. (1 John 4:7) If we love one another, God’s love will fill our hearts. The more God’s love is in our hearts, the more we know God and his love for us. It is love that connects us to God and motivates us to be closer to Him and to serve Him. We reflect God’s love to the world and people with hearts of stone will find that Christ’s love has crushed the stones.
A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another. (John 13:34-35 ESV) God fills our heart with His love so we will be motivated to bring His love to the world. God’s love is unconditional which implies we bring His agape love to everyone we encounter. Christians have a heart of love which enables forgiveness and overcomes Satan’s temptations. It motivates us to serve and seek the Lord with all our heart.
Today, seek to reflect the Lord’s love to everyone with kindness and compassion. Pray for guidance from the Spirit for encouraging, uplifting words and for bringing God’s Truth.
Prayer: Lord I thank you for endless love and that your love changes my heart. Guide me in the Spirit to reflect your love today. In Jesus’ name, Amen
