Christ Sets Us Free
So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.
John 8:36
There is no freedom on earth that compares to the freedom that Christ gives us. We are free from this evil world, and we are free from fear of death. The world can kill our flesh, but they can never kill us, because we are spiritual people living and physical body, and when the body dies, we leave this flesh and we are alive as a spiritual person. When Christ returns, we get a new young body that lasts forever with no aches or pains, and with no temptations of sin.
So we say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid, What can man do to me? (Hebrews 13:6) Satan guides the world to persecute Christians, and we become a more powerful light on a hill for Christ. Christ reflected love to his last breath, and the Lord will give us the power to do the same. Christ sets us free from physical death, because it opens the door to Heaven.
Many people in this world are dying for Christ, and the Lord gives them his strength to endure. They are free in Christ and no one on the planet can take away the freedom we have in Christ. Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell. (Matthew 10:28) This verse can set us free from the sinful world, as long as our soul is one with the Lord; we are free!
It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. (Galatians 5:1) Christ sets free and we are no longer slaves to the world. For everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. (1 John 5:4) We don’t live in fear because we have overcome the world.
Today live free in Christ and know Heaven is your home. Christ is with you, guiding you down the narrow road to eternal life.
Prayer: Lord remind me that Heaven is my home so I can be free in this world without fear that comes from Satan. In Jesus name, Amen
