Christ Leads us Home

Posted on

When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come.

John 16:13

Christ guides us through the Spirit, down the Narrow Road toward Heaven. Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it. (Matthew 7:13-14) Christ guides down the narrow road to Heaven, and we minister to those on the broad in an effort to get them on the narrow road to eternal life.

People who don’t know the Truth of the Word will by default believe Satan’s lies, and they are on the broad road to eternal destruction, because they never took the time to find God’s Truth. There is no one to lead these people, they just wander around the broad living in darkness. Our task is to bring the light of Christ to them, and guide them to the narrow road.

You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. (Matthew 5:14) Christian’s are the Light for Christ in this world, and we ask Christ to guide us to lost souls. We have to be careful when ministering to people, because Satan has the world against Christians. We can always show kindness, but if we publicly preach the Word, we could end up in jail.

The word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. (Psalm 119:105) Through prayer, the Word, and guidance by Christ, we can be light in this world. Christ will always find a way we can bring Christ to others. For example, Satan put the apostle Paul in prison, but the Lord used that time for Paul to write his epistles to the churches.

You do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes. (James 4:14) This life is short and it’s the only time we have to right with God.  But Satan keeps people away from reading the Word and finding the Truth, because he wants them to believe his lies. As Christians we bring the Truth from the Word, so people can be led by Christ to their eternal home.   And we pray for the Lord to open doors to achieve this task.

Today I pray Christ guides us down the narrow road, and to be a light shining on the broad road.

Prayer:  Father open doors so Christians can be a light for Christ, no matter what their life situation may be. In Jesus name, Amen.
