Christ is Our Guide
But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.
John 16:13
The Holy Spirit is our connection to Christ, and we have the blessing of being guided by the divine wisdom of Christ. When we think deeply that God is willing to guide us, and be with us through every situation in life, we realize that is a great blessing. We have the wisdom and power of God working through us, guiding us through life and we become the person he created us to be.
Satan deceives people so they never become the person God created them to be. But Christ has infinite power over Satan and He will change us to be the image of Jesus. Our soul will live in the Kingdom within us, and we have overcome the world. But thanks be to God, who always leads us as captives in Christ’s triumphal procession and uses us to spread the aroma of the knowledge of him everywhere. (2 Corinthians 2:14) Christ guides us through life and people will see Christ in us, because we are being molded the mind and heart of Jesus.
For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. (Romans 8:14) We are sons of God because we are led by the Spirit, and that is the purpose of the Spirit. The Holy Spirit lives in us so Christ can guide us with his wisdom and power, to be a light in this darkening world. Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, (Ephesians 3:20) We have the power of God working in us!
The power of God is our motivation to tell others about Christ, and we do this with the wisdom of God as he guides our thoughts and words. What more could we ask for than to have Christ guide our thoughts, words, and actions. That is having the power of God within us, which is infinitely above our power. If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. (James 1:15) We have the power and wisdom of God available within us through the Spirit.
Today seek guidance from Christ and the Word, and walk calmly in his power and wisdom. And realize there is no greater life than walking through life guided by Christ. It the same as walking through life with Christ standing beside you in the physical, willing to help you in any situation.
Prayer: Lord help me to walk according to Christ’s guidance through the Spirit. Help me to walk patiently, with a heart of love and compassion with wisdom and power, that all comes from Christ. In Jesus name, Amen
