Christ is All

Posted on

Here there is no Gentile or Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave or free, but Christ is all, and is in all.

Colossians 3:11

Only Christ can fulfill our Spiritual soul and provide for all our needs in this life.  Without Christ, we are spiritually dead.  Only Christ can provide for our spiritual needs, and it can never come from the world.

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. (John 10:10)  We can never have life to the full as God intends for us without Christ and the indwelling Holy Spirit. We can have millions of dollars, the biggest house, great worldly popularity, powerful job, and abundance of possessions  but it is all meaningless compared to knowing Christ.  If we don’t know Christ, we are spiritually dead. The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. (John 6:63)

Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it. (Matthew 7:13-14)  Many people are entering the broad road of destruction because they believe Satan’s lies that appeal to our fleshly desires.  Only a few find the narrow road to life because most refuse to search for it and settle for their own truth.

The narrow road is filled with people in God’s family, filled with the Holy Spirit and walking with love, peace, and joy because they see the eternal Heavenly Light at the end of the road.  At the end of the broad road is nothing but eternal darkness. Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. (James 1:17) Those on the narrow road receive the Lord’s blessings through the Spirit and live life to the full. Christ fulfills their every need and guides them through life to overcome the world.  All people on the narrow road live in eternal victory, while people walking on the broad road live in eternal defeat.

Today know you are walking on the narrow road and you can depend on Christ for everything. The more we serve the Lord the more we realize his blessings and the closer we are to him.  Live today for Christ and feel his pleasure fill your soul.

Prayer:  Guide my soul to know I can trust you for all things as I live as your servant.  Help me to be light for those walking on the broad road, because they don’t know where they are going because they are walking in the darkness. In Jesus name, Amen
