Christ Always has the Answer
“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.”
Matthew 7:7
Christ has the answer for every situation in life. He knows us intimately and if we call on Him, he will enable us to overcome the world. Everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. (1 John 5:4) If we have the faith and we call on the Lord, He will carry us through everything we encounter in life. We may face difficulties such as sickness, financial challenges, sinful habits, or tragedy, but the Lord will give us whatever we need to endure and overcome anything in life. If we are closer to the Lord than we are to anyone or anything in life, the more He can comfort us and give us His strength to endure. There is one thing a true Christian cannot live without and that is Christ our Lord and savior!
Being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience. (Colossians 1:11) We can endure anything with the Lord’s love, strength, and power. When we need the Lord’s power and strength, we call on the Lord revealing our situation with a dependent heart, knowing he will carry us through. If we try to endure in our own power, we will not experience the Lord’s power.
If anyone comes to me and does not hate father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters–yes, even their own life–such a person cannot be my disciple. (Luke 14:26) This verse sounds difficult, but the word hate is used as a comparison of our love for the Lord to our love for family. We are to love the Lord more than anyone or anything in this earthly life. If we do, we have more of His love in our hearts to give to family. How can we put the Lord first in our life unless we love Him more than anyone or anything?
If we put the Lord first in our life, He will comfort us and give us His strength and endurance. We can endure anything when Christ lives in our hearts because He is God, He created us, He knows us, and He knows the answer to any situation we encounter.
Today, seek to depend on the Lord and to be closer to Him than anything or anyone in life because He is God, and He loves you perfectly. Have faith with dependence and know He will carry you through anything you experience today.
Prayer: Lord, fill my heart with your love as I minister to the world because love connects me to You. Guide me in the Spirit to put you first in my life, and to love you more than anyone or anything. In Jesus’ name, Amen
