Choose the Narrow Road
Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.
Matthew 7:13-14
When we travel by car, we always take the right road to our destination, and sometimes we need to ask someone for directions. We want to make sure we get to our earthly destination, but do people have the same concern about the road to their eternal destination? From the scripture above it says, only a few find the narrow road to eternal life. They are living on the broad road to destruction believing Satan’s lies.
People are concerned about their earthly directions, but many people give little thought to their eternal direction. The Word of God is the road map to the narrow road to eternal life, but many people don’t read the map to eternal life because it’s easier to follow the direction that comes from Satan, which always leads to the broad road to eternal destruction. It’s amazing how many people in this world, give little thought to their eternal destination.
Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. (Psalm 119:105) The Word of God is a road map to the eternal road, and only takes reading the Gospels to move off the wide road onto the narrow road. Don’t believe the lies from Satan about reading the Bible and serving the Lord, because there is no truth from Satan.
We are created in the image of God, and when we live according to how we are created, we will the most fulfilling life possible. Who do people desire to believe; God who loves us more than they imagine, or Satan who hates us, because we are made in the image of God? The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. (John 10:10) It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. (Galatians 5:1) Traveling on the narrow road we live life to the full, and Christ sets us free; while those living on the broad road are slaves to the world.
Today tell others to move to the narrow road and experience life to the full, and Heaven will be their home.
Prayer: Guide me down the narrow road and keep Satan from trying to pull me onto the broad road. In Jesus name, Amen
