God Is Love

Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love. (1 John 4:7-8)

God is love, and love is our connection for knowing the Father and the Son. When our hearts are filled with God’s love, we are changed and love motivates us to serve the Lord. Love enables us to know the Lord, and love frees us from self.

When our hearts are filled with God’s love, we are living as created and we are living life to the fullest. God loves us so much that he created us in his image so we can live the best life possible on the Earth.

We Are Spiritual Beings

As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead. (James 2:26) The body without the spirit is dead because our life is in the spirit. Our spirit is our thoughts, our personality, and our will.

Then the LORD God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being. (Genesis 2:7) Life began when God breathed his spirit into us, and we are created in the image of God.

So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. (Genesis 1:27) We are spiritual people living in a physical suit, and our life is in the spirit. 

Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. (Matthew 10:28) Our spirit lives forever. When we take our last breath, our spirit leaves the body and we are still alive. I imagine our spirit looks much like our body, as I read from many accounts of people who have died and come back to earthly life.

When Christ returns, we get a new spiritual body that lasts forever and never ages. It is called a spiritual body because it craves things of the Spirit, just as our earthly body craves things from the earth.

We are created to live forever with the Father and the Son in Heaven. God loves us so much that we will live in His love forever.

Hearts of Love

Since we are created in the image of God, and God is love, we are created to have our hearts filled with God’s love. As we serve the Lord following the Spirit, the Lord fills our hearts with his divine unconditional love.

Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. (James 1:22) We change when we obey the Word, and the Lord’s power enables us to obey his Word. We fill our minds with the Word, which is the language of God, then we can easily follow the Spirit as he changes the desires of our hearts and our thoughts.

As we change, due to the love God pours into our hearts, we begin to experience living life to the fullest.

When our hearts are filled with God’s divine love, we are changed. We give Christ and others priority. Our hearts care for lost souls, causing us to spend more time in the Word and in prayer. We depend on the Lord because we need Him with us to minister to lost souls.

I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. (John 15:5) We soon learn that we need Christ in our ministry to guide our thoughts and Words, and to guide us to the right scriptures.

Christ knows what the people we are ministering to need to hear, and this is why we seek his divine guidance.

Family of God

But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God. (John 1:12-13) When we accept Christ as our Lord and Savior and are baptized, we receive the Holy Spirit and we are in the family of God. We have a divine Father who loves us perfectly, and no one can snatch us out of His hands.

I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. (John 10:28) The Lord loves us more than we can imagine, and He wants to be with us in Heaven. Therefore, no one can snatch us out of His hand.

People in God’s family are protected from the evil one and will never be tempted beyond what they can bear.

But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one. (2 Thessalonians 3:3) God controls Satan so we will never be tempted beyond what each of us can bear.

No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it. (1 Corinthians 10:13) This is a powerful verse to remember because we know that we can endure any temptation from Satan, and we can always ask the Lord for an escape. It is important that we ask the Lord for His power and guidance to escape Satan’s temptations.

Christ Gives Us Freedom

It is for freedom that Christ sets us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. (Galatians 5:1) God enables us to be free from the sinful world because we are in control through the power of God.

But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. (Matthew 6:33) This is a promise of God. We need to put Christ first in our lives and all these things will be given to us. This includes our worldly needs plus divine blessings from Heaven that feed our soul.

We no longer struggle or worry about the needs of our life and we are free to serve Christ. The blessings from Heaven continually feed our souls, giving us love, peace, joy, and comfort. We are secure in Christ and we know Heaven is our home. Only God can feed our souls to make us content all the time, just as he did for the apostle Paul.

I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do all this through him who gives me strength. (Philippians 4:11-13) God makes us content with the blessings He feeds our soul through the indwelling Holy Spirit, and we will find that desires from the world are replaced by desires from Heaven.

Heaven Is Our Home

For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. (2 Corinthians 4:17) When we accept Christ as our Savior and Lord and follow the indwelling Holy Spirit to serve Christ and become a member of a Christ-centered Bible church, then we can be sure Heaven is our home.

Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. (Matthew 7:21) Since the Father and the Son are one, we follow Christ by following the Spirit. The more we know the language of God (the Bible) and the more we pray for guidance, the more we do the Father’s will. No one is perfect, but we give our best with Christ guiding us to be a witness to everyone. This is our divine purpose in life.

The more we minister to people telling them about Christ, the more we depend on Christ being with us, the more we study the Word, and the more we need a Christian family. It always helps to have a strong Christian friend to team with when ministering or teaching a Bible class.

As we minister to others, the Lord fills our hearts with his unconditional love, and love enables us to know God.

Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. (1 John 4:7) The closer we are to Christ, the more we desire to be with the Father and the Son. It’s great comfort knowing Heaven is your home.

Satan’s Lies & Deception

Satan is angry at God because he knows hell is his eternal home. But Satan can do nothing directly to God, so his goal is to lead people away from God.

The great dragon was hurled down – that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him. (Revelations 12:9) If people don’t know God’s truth, then by default they will believe Satan’s lies and deceptions. And Satan broadcasts his lies through people, false profits, and churches that don’t follow the Bible or they change the Bible.

The Bible is written by men who followed God’s word through the Holy Spirit.

For prophecy never had its origin in the human will; but prophets, though human, spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit. (2 Peter 1:21) It’s the indwelling Holy Spirit that connects us to the Father and the Son. The Bible is never outdated because mankind is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow. Saying the Bible is outdated is like saying God is outdated.

Satan’s goal is for us to live for our fleshly desires, which makes us believe his lies. Satan will make us temporarily content in the flesh and that is a foothold from Satan. Satan will also make the Bible seem overwhelming, that it is difficult to obey the Lord, and we lose our freedom.

These are all lies from Satan. The Bible is alive because Christ will plant thoughts in our minds as we read the Word. In less than one hour, a person can know God’s love for them and what they need to do to be saved.

All of God’s commands are fulfilling to us, and we can achieve them if we ask for the power of God to help us. Only Christ can set us free from the world, from fear of the future, and fear of physical death. To overcome Satan’s lies and deceptions, read the Word and find the Truth from God.

If we desire eternal life, we read the Word to know the truth and we will stop believing Satan’s lies.

Summary

Be governed by the Spirit and not by the flesh. Interface to the world through the Spirit. Whatever we hear and see goes to the Spirit and our response comes from the Spirit.

This is walking in Godly wisdom. Realize we have power over Satan when we call on the Lord.

You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. (1 John 4:4) We have the power of Christ with us, guiding us through the Spirit.

Live each day for Christ and live each day to the fullest. Remember God loves you more than you can imagine, and He has a home for you in Heaven.
