Ministering to Runners at the Frederick Rescue Mission 10 Miler
At Eternal Walk Ministry, we’re actively involved in supporting local organizations that help bring hurting individuals closer to faith and their eternal walk with Christ.
Every month, we volunteer our time to help support the Frederick Rescues Mission, a Christ-centered ministry centered in Frederick, Maryland, that focuses on residential recovery programs and other supporting ministries to the poor, homeless, and needy.
Eternal Walk Ministry teaches bible class at the Frederick Rescue Mission twice per week. Most recently, we had the opportunity to partake in the Frederick Rescue Mission 10 Miler.
The Mission 10 Miler
Every year, the Frederick Rescue Mission hosts a race in downtown Frederick, Maryland, to raise money and awareness for its year-round ministries. This race is formally known as the Mission 10 Miler.
Race proceeds go to buying groceries, providing meals, and operating residential programs for recovering men, women, and children. In turn, this money benefits the Frederick Rescue Mission and their ministries all year long.
This year, the Rescue Mission 10 Miler was held on March 25th, 2018, and Eternal Walk Ministry was proud to serve as a local sponsor for the event. We were honored to take part in the Mission 10 Miler to help support our community and the Frederick Rescue Mission.
Our volunteers set up a booth and handed out fruit and other snacks to the runners participating in the race. In addition, we also passed out small booklets to help introduce non-believers to Jesus Christ and provide aid in their eternal walk with Christ.
Our presence, sponsorship, and involvement allowed us to minister to more than 500+ runners in Frederick, Maryland.

At the core, the Frederick Rescue Mission strives to introduce people to Jesus Christ by meeting basic human needs of food, shelter, and clothing. They offer a variety of ministries and programs to help support the homeless and needy, including:
- Bread of Life Food Ministries:a free service for breakfast and lunch year-round
- Changed Life Recovery Program: a residential program for homeless men
- Faith House: a residential program for homeless women and children
- Rescued Treasures: a free clothing drive and donation center
- Outreach: engaging community events and enrichment programs
