Be With the Lord

Posted on

Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Isaiah 41:10

The Lord desires to be with us, to give us his strength and help to go through each day, but are we depending on the Lord? If we truly depend on the Lord, we will seek to be with him every moment of the day. And what a blessing it is to have the Lord with us at all times, to guide us through life, with his love, power, strength and wisdom. The Lord will provide whatever we need to make it through each day of our life.

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. (Matthew 28:20) This is the command Jesus give to his apostles, and the same command also applies to us; and Christ will be with us to the end of the age. We can go through our days as if Christ was walking beside us, and we can have conversation with him through our thoughts.

It’s a blessing having Christ with us, but Satan seeks to make us dependent on self, so we call on Christ only when we need him. We are to reflect Christ at all times, and Christ knows far more than we do about every situation in our life, and he will guide us to do his will.  Our Light will expand when we depend on Christ’s infinite knowledge and wisdom. If we compare Christ to who we are, then we will depend on Christ.

I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. (John 15:5) From this scripture we need Christ at all times, because at all times we reflect Christ, even when we are alone. If our hearts desire Christ to be with us, then we will always depend on Christ being with us. While ministering to someone, or teaching a class, we can call on the Lord when we need his guidance in the situation, because the Lord know exactly what that person needs hear.

Today know the Lord is with you and ask him to guide you through your day. If we really learn to let the Lord guide us, through our days, life will be more fulfilling and rewarding.

Prayer: Father, help me to always depend on the Lord, and to always seek his presence. In Jesus name, Amen
