Be Still

Posted on

He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations I will be exalted in the earth.”

Psalm 46:10

If we learn to be still inside and control our thoughts, we will reap Godly wisdom and divine peace. However, being still inside may take time to control our thoughts, because Satan will use the world around us and our emotions to take our thoughts away from God.

Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. (Colossians 3:2) We control our thoughts by interfacing to the world through the Holy Spirit. We take the time to listen to the Spirit for whatever we see, hear, think, or say; and we will be still inside living in the power of God. This will enable us to be still, control our thoughts and we will be able to focus.  As we learn to be still inside it will slow us down, and we will take the time to seek Godly wisdom. It will also give us patience and help to keep us relaxed with rest for our souls, which will give us the ability to control our emotions. Learning to control our thoughts has a very powerful effect on our life and our health.

But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. (Galatians 5:16) If we live by the Spirit we will live being still inside, because that is what the Lord’s desire for us. The Lord wants us to be still inside because it helps us stay connected to the Lord, gives us control of our thoughts and emotions, and gives peace and rest to our souls. We can all be still at times, but the Lord wants us to be still at all times. The longer we can be still the more we are at peace and relaxed, at when we experience this peace and relaxation, we strive to keep it and pray for continuous stillness inside.

Today seek to be still and quiet inside by controlling your thoughts, and ask the Lord for his power to succeed. We all need the Lord’s divine power to be successful in obeying his commands.

Prayer: Help me to be still inside and to control my thoughts., because I know it brings peace, comfort, and helps me to remain relaxed. In Jesus name, Amen
