Be Close to the Lord
The Lord is near to all who call upon Him, To all who call upon Him in truth.Psalm 145:18
If we have a desire to be close to the Lord and we call upon Him in truth, he will be near. Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. (1 John 4:7) Just as the Father, the Son, and the Spirit are connected by perfect love, we are also connected to the Father, Son, and Spirit by a heart of love.
We live every day as a servant of Christ being a Light in this world, and He fills our hearts with His love. It’s love we reflect, it’s love that motivates us, and it’s love that frees us from self. When we put the Lord and others first, God takes care of us making it easier to get through life with his divine guidance. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. (Matthew 6:33) God will enable us to provide for our worldly needs if we truly give Christ priority in our life.
When we are ministering to someone, we call on the Lord for His guidance. Whenever we are doing the Lord’s will, we know He is with us. Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. (John 15:4) If we follow this verse when ministering to others and we call on the Lord, He will be with us.
If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you. (Romans 8:11 ESV) Christ lives in our hearts for the purpose of molding us to the mind and heart of Jesus. He guides us through life being a light to the world. We can live with his power and wisdom, if we depend on the Lord with faith. The Lord desires to lead us through life to minister to the world, and to set us free by overcoming the world.
Today, seek to be closer to the Lord. I love those who love me; And those who diligently seek me will find me. (Proverbs 8:17 NASB) Be motivated with faith knowing if you serve the Lord and call on Him for guidance, he will be with you. Be still inside and depend on His divine guidance.
Prayer: Lord, today I will seek to be close to you. I need your guidance to minister to others. In Jesus’ name, Amen
