All God’s Commands are Perfect

“If you love me, keep my commands.”

John 14:15

All of God’s commands are for our benefit and they are a blessing. God loves us more than we can imagine, and his commands give us a life better than we can imagine. If we refuse not obey one or more commands, we are jeopardizing both life to the full and our eternal life. All commands are written for us to obey, and we can obey through the power of Christ.

Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, (Ephesians 3:20) We need the Lord’s power to obey all the commands. For example, we pray for the Lord’s power to love our enemies, that the Lord will fill our hearts with his unconditional love.  Satan has deceived all those who don’t know Christ including close friends that refused to accept Christ. Therefore, we hate the deception and lies from Satan.

But whose delight is in the law of the LORD, and who meditates on his law day and night. (Psalm 1:2) God judges by the Word, therefore we live by His perfect commands, and we never deviate His commands to suit our own desires? If we don’t to live by the Word, and if we don’t seek to obey every command through the Lord’s power, then we are cheating ourselves, not experiencing the Lord blessings to the full, and our eternal life is unsure.

The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you—they are full of the Spirit and life. (John 6:63) Satan knows that life to full comes only from obeying God’s perfect commands, therefore he tempts our flesh to justify the Word to our own desires. If Satan succeeds, he won a victory, he wants us to justify our will and not trust the Lord’s will.  Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. (Proverbs 3:5-6) We are saved by faith and if our faith is not pleasing to God, we need to pray that the Lord will change us so our faith is pleasing to Him. And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. (Hebrews 11:6)

When we seek to obey every command through the power of God, we will experience the divine blessings from God that constantly feed our soul, which is greater than anything from the world, because it comes from God. And we are sure of our eternal home in Heaven.

Today seek to live by God’s commands, especially the command to love the Lord and to love every one with God’s unconditional love in your heart.

Prayer:  Guide me to obey all your commands through your power. Hep me to reflect your love in every situation today. In Jesus name, Amen
